In this post, I am focusing on Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park.

The village is a bustling place (and is home to historic Fort Yellowstone), but I want to share some of the travertine terraces with you. The travertine terraces are hot springs that rise up through limestone, dissolve the calcium carbonate, and deposit the calcite.
The boardwalks are not too difficult (you can take a stroller), and I encourage you to take the time, if you can, when planning to visit the park.
