Manito Park and Botanical Gardens – Part 4

“Who loves a garden still his Eden keeps, Perennial pleasures plants, and holesome harvest reaps.”…Amos Bronson Alcott 1868

Although there is much more, my last installment of Manito Park features the perennial gardens.

You can see the Part 1 of Manito Park here, Part 2 here, and Part 3 here.

Manito Park and Botanical Gardens – Part 3

I’m hold up in a motel in Ely, Nevada.  It’ll be another long driving day tomorrow (Moving Mom from Yuma, AZ to Spokane, WA.).  And then one more day to get the U-Haul unloaded and Hubby and I drive another 2 hours to home.  We should be home by Tuesday.

You can see the Part 1 of Manito Park here and Part 2 here.

How about a few photos from the Conservatory at Manito Park?  And then I’m going to bed.  I’ll be on the road again by the time you see this post.

Manito Park and Botanical Gardens – Part 2

“There is a little plant called reverence in the corner of my soul’s garden, which I love to have watered once a week.”- Oliver Wendell Holmes

I am at the Phoenix airport and have some time, so I can edit more photos.  By the time you see this post, my Hubby, myself and my Mom should be on the road.  We’ll be driving back to Spokane (moving Mom), so I don’t know that I’ll have another opportunity to post for a few days.

Enjoy these photos from yesterday’s visit to the Japanese Garden at Manito Park.

Manito Park and Botanical Gardens

“Japanese gardens ask that you go beyond the garden spiritually, that you look at the garden not merely as an object but also as a path into the realms of spirit.”

— Makoto Ooka in The Temple in the House by Anthony Lawlor

Hubby and I drove to the big city.  We are spending the night in Spokane and will catch an early flight to Yuma, AZ (we’ll be on that plane by the time you see this post).  We visit Spokane often, and one of our all-time favorite places to come is one of Spokane’s most precious jewels…Manito Park and Botanical Gardens.

Here you will find a rose garden, a conservatory, a duck pond, a butterfly garden, perennial gardens, playgrounds, bike trails and so much more.  If you are ever in Spokane, and you have the time, put Manito Park on your ‘must-see’ list!

I offer up some photos taken in the Japanese garden.
