I am keeping my May OMG goal simple. Like previous months, I want to complete all of the current month’s blocks, in this case, May’s 365 Challenge blocks…I don’t want to fall behind with the project!
January completed blocks.
February completed blocks.
March completed blocks.
April completed blocks.
That’s it.
And what keeps me from the sewing studio?
How about yard work?
Remember when I visited with my son and fam recently?
We had plumbing issues and needed a repair in the drain field. Of course, we had to wait for the snow to leave, and that took a bit of time.
What a mess, but it is done, and now the work begins to make it a nice yard again!
And then there is this:
We are painting the dining room and kitchen.
Goodbye green and hello very light gray!
So happy to have a bright and fresh new look!

Sometimes you have to deal with the other things in life that need attention! Your projects will keep you busy for a bit, but you’ll be back to sewing soon!

Hi Laura! Keeping pace with the current month’s blocks is a great idea with all the other stuff happening in your life right now. I hope the weather remains nice for the yard work as well as the painting. Both projects are a LOT of work but it will be so nice when they are complete! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Who’s to say you can’t take a break from all that and do a little sewing from time to time? Ain’t nothing wrong with taking a break!

I think it’s sometimes easier to stay on track with a sewing project if there are other things going on. It’s good to have variety in life for a start and somehow having slots of time when sewing is possible between other things makes those slots more productive. Sorry I’m not explaining myself very well, but I hope you get what I’m trying to say? π

I think you explain yourself well, Allison! Having planned time for a project is a good way to be organized and get things done! π

It will look so great when the yard is back in order. Painting is only enjoyable when all is finished. Grey seems to be the popular color now. Going to be pretty. Hugs.

I so agree…in the case of house painting, joy for me, comes in the destination, not the journey! Ha, ha! π
