Bats and Boos Completed!

Last update!

I will not be carrying this project into the new year! Bats and Boos is done!

A few close ups of the free motion quilting:

I did not use a walking foot for the lines. I used a free motion foot and a ruler. I find that easier and faster (though not necessarily neater).

The backing is a novelty print that I have had in my stash for some time.

The white corner is my label. I still need to write on it.

  1. Yay for the finish! What pretty quilting, too. I still like this pattern – those bats just make me grin!

  2. One of the few Halloween Themed patterns I like (because it isn’t trite)! This is a fine, fun, finish!

  3. Hi Laura! Great job for a great finish. Doesn’t that feel so satisfying to add a checkmark next to it? Your FMQing adding just the right amount of pomp and circumstance to make it gorgeous. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. Wonderful finish! I love seeing the quilting and the ruler work is certainly faster than the walking foot. I don’t always find I am as neat with the rulers, but once I get in a groove, it does seem to get better.

  8. Great finish, such a fun quilt. I really must try again with the fmq rulers, I have a set but gave up far too quickly!

    • The straight lines are relatively easy for me. I have curved rulers, but I find it easier to use them with a marker and then stitch without them. Maybe I will get the hang of them someday. đŸ™‚

  9. You did a great job on this quilt! Mine is still hanging, waiting, waiting, etc. I am thinking I am going to change the border – BUT NOT IN 2021! LOL
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year – Enjoy your family! Hugs
