Tis the season to be all about Christmas, but I am determined to finish Bats and Boos before the new year. I really don’t want to carry this project over.
It is slow going, since I am too tired after the day job to want to spend time on this.
Nevertheless, progress is happening. Last time that I shared, Bats and Boos had been pin basted.
Let the quilting begin!
Now that the main features are quilted, I am on to the borders!

Quilt On!
It’s looking good. I decided to just use meanding root design on mine but the whole time I was doing it, I was wondering if I should have done more custom quilting. Yours looks great! We will definitely be ready for Halloween 2022!

Thank you, Pamela! I am considering using some meandering as a filler around the pumpkins and bats. Your version looks terrific…very appropriate for Halloween! Yes…you and I will be ready in 2022. π

The goal is to have a completed table topper, rather than a flimsy decorating the table next Halloween. Ha, ha!
Yes, I am cramming the weekends with as much sewing as I can. The evenings are reserved for couch potatoing (is that a word?). π

Nice job, Laura!! Perseverance is a good thing at all times of year. I don’t think this means that BB is back in the house, though?? I’m proud of you for spending your time getting this to the finish line! It’s so darn cute . . . and won’t it be nice to just pull it out, all complete, in October? {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

Betty Boop is not back in the house. I miss her! She does zig-zag and decorative stitches, and I have several projects (fast becoming UFOs) waiting for her. I am using my Juki to quilt…straight stitch only.
Yes…looking forward to having Bats and Boos complete! Perseverance is a good habit to cultivate…don’t think I will ever have it cultivated enough. Ha, ha! π
