Lie on the bridge and watch the water flowing past. Or run, or wade through the swamp in your red boots. Or roll yourself up and listen to the rain falling on the roof. It’s very easy to enjoy yourself. -Tove Jansson

  1. ***Gratefully**** gorgeous photos and scenes depicted during/after all the awful weather/fire issues in your lovely state. Nice to see beauty is triumphant in all circumstances.
‘Nuff philosophizing! I especially like the tree trunk with the holey home for some critters to enjoy!

    • Thank you, Laura! The smoke came back thicker than ever after this hike, so I am truly grateful for the fresh air and the places that haven’t burned! It actually rained today, so there is another blessing! We haven’t seen rain in ages! The tree trunk is from a control burn some time ago…it is a nice home for some critters. 🙂

  2. So where are the falls?

    • No falls in this particular area, Donna. It is marshes created from the river overflow. Lots of woods, camping, playground, picnicking, hiking, and a marina. 🙂
