Bow Ties On the Design Wall

I put in a lot of overtime at work this week, and I was too tired to do much of anything else.

So I laid out some bow ties on the design wall and I like this layout:

Bow Tie Leader/Enders

I am quite happy with this scrappy project.Β  I’ve used up lots of old fabric and thread spool ends and bobbins of threads.Β  The only new fabric is the cheddar.

I’ve been making bow ties on a nonregular basis since June of 2018.

I may be looking for a new leader/ender project soon.

  1. Funny that the ‘old’ color cheddar is the new fabric in your project. Fantastic that this piece used up (is that ever 100% totally true?) lone bobbin colors, short lengths left off of spools as well as ‘old’ fabric. I often forget about the thread aspect of scrap clean-up!
Hope your coming week is less strenuous.

  3. I do like the Trip Around the World type layout you have up on the design wall. Good to be able to move a project along even during such a busy week.

  4. That looks fantabulous, Laura! What a great way to relax after a VERY long week of work, playing with completed squares.

  5. Hi Laura! This is a fun layout. It reminds me of a ripple in a puddle, lake or any water – how it expands out from the center. You’ll have a finish on your hands in no time at all. ~smile~ Roseanne
