Let’s Sew Quilt Along Finish!

I can finally put the Let’s Sew quilt project on the finish line!

Woo hoo!

Lets Sew Quilt Along

Bulky seams and tension problems created some time with Jack the Ripper, but we worked it out together.

This quilt spent a lot of wait time spread out on the cutting table.

So much time that the Quilt Inspector created her own artsy addition; enough kitty hair to make a carpet overlay.

I guess she assumed ownership and was using the quilt for her mattress.

Then she must have changed her mind about the sleeping arrangement, because she barfed on the quilt (Was I not supposed to tell you that?).

The commercial orange fabric bled when I cleaned up after the Inspector.

These things never happen to anyone else.  Right?

  1. Baaad Kitty!
Tension problems, bulky seams and barfy kitties…sounds about par for the course. And what a grand finish – Brava, Laura!
BTW: I noticed the jumbo black ric-rac on the iron patch…love it!

  2. Hi Laura! Fabulous finish in spite of all the challenges. I think my favorite block is the one with all the pretty thread spools. Good job. ~smile~ Roseanne

  5. Love the quilting, especially on the pin cushion block. Our cat always licks herself and gets kitty spit on just about everything. I think barf, hair and slobber are just part of owning pets.

  6. Naughty kitty!! But I couldn’t see where it bled, so maybe it doesn’t show too much. The blocks are so fun and colorful, and your quilting is wonderful!!

  9. Great finish Laura! I like all the bright colours you used – even if the orange let you down. I suspect that any dye left on the background will only be noticeable to you.Is it a quilt to be hung in your sewing space – it seems very appropriate.

    • Thank you, Allison! I cannot hang the quilt in my sewing studio, although I would certainly like to. However, I do have a quilt display rack in my sewing studio, so it will reside there. 🙂
