Traffic Jam Two Update

I have not made a lot of progress in the quilting department.

My internet provider has generously given some free gigabytes.

And Bluprint is offering free classes.

So between work (I am an essential employee) and free class binges, I don’t have a lot of time left to sew.

However, I do have an update on Traffic Jam number two.  I have sewn the main part of the quilt together.

Traffic Jam

Now onto the borders.

  1. I haven’t had a chance to take advantage of the various free online classes. Maybe this month!

    • I don’t normally have this opportunity; living in a rural area, I don’t usually have the internet service. So I am definitely taking advantage while I can. I hope you can, too, Donna! 🙂

  2. Laura: Happy to hear you’re getting an internet bonus – especially during this time of sequestering…And thanks for the rec on checking out those free classes.

  3. Hi Laura! Thank you for continuing to work. It has to be stressful, being out there on the front lines. It has to be hard to come home and try to relax. I’m working from home and have no interest in sewing, although I sure I have plenty to do. {{Hugs}} Stay healthy and safe. ~smile~ Roseanne

    • Thank you, Roseanne! I have mixed emotions. Jealousy over those who can stay home and are sewing, spring cleaning, baking, gardening, reading, etc…. Feeling blessed that I still have a regular paycheck; so many are suffering financially because of this pandemic.
It is not too stressful working with the public…there are a few who don’t follow the distancing, but for the most part the customers are good. They don’t stay home. Ha, ha! More and more, I see shipping increasing as that becomes more important to reach family and friends, as well as obtain medicines and goods.
You stay healthy and safe as well! 🙂

  5. Hi Laura – I am trying to keep track of the days and months. 2020 is definitely not our year! Thank you for the hard work that you do each day. We had crummy internet service (rural also) but about 6 months ago Rise decided to upgrade our 20 year old equipment and things are great now. I will check out Blueprint, but I am having problems focusing on anything! I am trying to work on OMG blocks.
All I want is some chicken and eggs and they are always out at the store (of course I have to do curbside).
If things were not as they were since New Years, I would be one of those sewing up a storm at this time and getting all my 2019 projects finished – now that is a pipe dream!
Stay healthy and away from the ones who don’t care about themselves or others!
Enjoy Blueprint! Hugs (think I need a shot of Dale Carnige’s Power of Positive Thinking! LOL

    • Rural internet can be a challenge sometimes! Ha, ha!

Maybe you don’t need to worry about staying focused right now, Nanette. Maybe it is just a nice change of pace to play a little on one project, and then play a little on another. It is all good; it all moves forward. Just simply enjoy what you are doing at the time that you are doing it. Maybe you don’t want to play on a project. Maybe you would just like to read a good novel for a while. That’s okay, too!

You stay safe and healthy! That is certainly enough to focus on these days! 🙂

  6. Thank you for being “outside”, I’m lucky enough to be able to work from home. But believe me, no extra time for sewing and quilting!
    Take care, stay safe
