    • The chick was hungry, but I did not try to touch it. I never saw the parents, but I assume they were near by. I think the chick must’ve fallen from a nest somewhere. I let it be, and never saw it again. I hope it is happy and well!

  2. Those roses!!! We have fledglings out this week, and they are a wreck at first, just like toddlers, careening out of control. It is amazing how quickly they figure it out though. My best baby sighting this week was a little fawn at the lodge I clean. Tiny and wet from the previous night’s rain storm. It came up on the deck to hide and get some sun.
