January OMG 2018

I let myself get distracted by Bonnie Hunter’s On Ringo Lake mystery.  It is a good distraction!

Bonnie helps me to overcome my fondness to pet my fabric and actually use it!

She also helps me to look at color/value in new ways!

And I learn new-to-me methods for rotary cutting.

I enjoy the social media fellowship of many, many other quilters working Bonnie’s mystery, too!

I am also happy that Patty, at Elm Street Quilts, is continuing OMG (One Monthly Goal) in 2018.

OMG provides me with accountability and motivation to make progress on projects, and sometimes I even have a finish!

My work hours should be less in January, so my goal is to turn On Ringo Lake into a flimsy.

I have clues 1 & 2 done, as well as 3 & 4

On Ringo Lake

Clue 5 is in progress.

On Ringo Lake

I am linking up with Elm Street Quilts for One Monthly Goal (OMG). Click on the link and check out the other goals for January!  It is fun to see what other’s are working on!

  1. Great fabric colors. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.

  2. Big OMG! I know how much work is in a BH mystery quilt. Ringo’s a pretty quilt, definitely worth it.

  3. Looks like you are well on your way! Isn’t it such a great design?!?!
    I’m loving working on mine!

    • Yes, Kathy! Even though there is a lot of piecing, I am enjoying this project. It really is a stress reliever for me! I can’t wait to see what my quilt will look like!

  4. I followed the link you posted and the quilt looks beautiful! I don’t know how you do it all but like you said, it’s a stress reliever, so that is great! I’ve been away from blogging for months because of my computer, but I’ve been trying to catch up and it was so fun to see all the projects you’ve done – I especially liked that pillow you made. It turned out beautifully! I pray this year will be a very blessed one for you, Laura! 😊
