Slow Sunday Stitching

“In emerald tufts, flowers purple, blue and white;
Like sapphire, pearl, and rich embroidery,
Buckled below fair knighthood’s bending knee;
Fairies use flower for their charactery.”
― William Shakespeare

“Take your needle, my child, and work at your pattern; it will come out a rose by and by. Life is like that – one stitch at a time taken patiently and the pattern will come out all right like the embroidery.”
– Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr.

I am still slowly; very, very slowly, stitching blocks from the Aunt Bea’s Parlor pattern.

I have finished block number 16.

  3. So pretty. I have not learned to enjoy hand stitching – yet. There is hope tho that I will.

  4. You are making progress and your block is cute, I have to pull out my pattern one of these days and get to tracing them.
