How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to
improve the world.  ~Anne Frank

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get
better.  It’s not.  ~Dr. Seuss

Washington State, where I live, has had its share of wildfires this summer.  One very small thing that I can do is join a few quilting sisters in sewing pillowcases for the many children who have been affected by these devastating fires.

Pillowcases are easy to sew, and don’t require a lot of effort.  There are lots of tutorials to be found online to make pillowcases.

If making pillowcases happens to be on your list of Christmas gifts to make this year, then consider sewing an extra one and donating it to your local charity.

  1. Our guild makes them for the children in a local hospital. One of the girls who works there says it’s fun to see them when they leave with their belongings tucked inside the pillowcase.

  2. Very lovely Laura!
